LILAC is a private, end-to-end encrypted messaging app. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our published standards against CSAE, how anyone can report a concern, and our point of contact — in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable child safety laws.
Child safety contact: hello@lila-c.com — monitored for CSAE and CSAM reports.
Anyone can report suspected CSAE or CSAM involving LILAC. We aim to acknowledge reports promptly and act on them.
| Channel | How it works |
|---|---|
| Email our safety contact | Send details to hello@lila-c.com. This inbox is monitored for child safety reports. |
| Block & remove in-app | In LILAC you can remove any contact from your device at any time, which stops further messages from that connection. |
| Report to authorities | If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. In the U.S., reports can also be made to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. |
LILAC messages are end-to-end encrypted, so neither LILAC nor our relay server can read message content. Our relay only ever handles encrypted data, random mailbox identifiers, message sizes, and timestamps, and undelivered messages are deleted after 24 hours. This means our enforcement relies on:
Strong encryption protects ordinary people's private conversations; it does not change our zero-tolerance stance toward those who would abuse children, and it does not exempt anyone from the law.
For any child safety question, concern, or report, or for inquiries from law enforcement and child protection authorities: hello@lila-c.com.
